today’s prompt is from The Poetry Society’s National Poetry Competition 2023 (you can find their site here)!

here’s the exercise: write a poem or flash piece about a topic that you are entirely unfamiliar with! don’t do any research, just let your associative mind take you somewhere new :) here are some generative ideas: high-energy physics, tax fraud, retail chains/cash registers, hyper-pop music, deep-sea scuba diving, and Mars colonization.
